Left ventricular lead

A left ventricular lead is a small wire connected to a device called a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) that stimulates the heart's left ventricle, the main pumping chamber. Used in cardiac resynchronization therapy, it helps coordinate the heart's contractions, improving efficiency and blood flow in people with heart failure. The lead is carefully placed through veins into the heart’s left side, ensuring synchronized beating with the other chambers. This targeted approach can reduce symptoms, improve quality of life, and enhance overall heart function in patients with certain types of heart rhythm problems.
