left bundle branch block

Left bundle branch block (LBBB) is a condition where the electrical signals that control the heartbeat are delayed or blocked in the left side of the heart's conduction system. This causes the left ventricle (the main pumping chamber) to activate later than usual, leading to a less coordinated heartbeat. LBBB can be associated with heart diseases, such as hypertension or coronary artery issues, but sometimes occurs without symptoms. It may affect the heart's efficiency and can indicate underlying heart problems. Diagnosis is typically made through an EKG, and treatment depends on the presence of other heart conditions.
