Leela Samson

Leela Samson is an acclaimed Indian classical dancer, choreographer, and arts administrator. Renowned for her expertise in Bharatanatyam, a traditional dance form, she has performed nationally and internationally, earning recognition for her expressive artistry. Alongside her performances, she has choreographed numerous dance productions and contributed to arts education. She also served as the Chairperson of the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi, India’s premier arts organization, where she helped promote and preserve Indian performing arts. Her work combines deep cultural understanding with a commitment to fostering contemporary relevance in traditional dance.
