Lebensraum (Living Space)
Lebensraum, or "living space," was a concept used by Nazi Germany to justify territorial expansion. It referred to the idea of acquiring additional land, primarily in Eastern Europe, to provide more resources and territory for the German people. The belief was that a nation's strength depended on its territorial size and resources, leading to aggressive policies of conquest and colonization. This ideology contributed to the invasions during World War II and was driven by notions of racial superiority and the desire for national self-sufficiency. It ultimately resulted in widespread conflict, displacement, and suffering.
