Learning and Skills Council (LSC)

The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) was a UK government organization responsible for funding and overseeing adult education and vocational training, including colleges and training providers. Its goal was to improve skills, employment prospects, and economic productivity by coordinating and supporting learning opportunities. The LSC managed budgets, set standards, and ensured quality in training programs. It operated until 2010, when its functions were transferred to other agencies, such as Skills Funding Agency and Education Funding Agency, to streamline education and skills development at a national level.
