Leaning Tower of Pisa (campanile)
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a freestanding bell tower in Italy, part of Pisa's cathedral complex. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, its unintended tilt developed due to unstable foundation soil. The construction revealed engineering flaws, but efforts to stabilize the tilt have made it a famous architectural marvel. The tower stands about 56 meters tall, with a noticeable lean of approximately 3.97 degrees. It features eight stories of open galleries and delicate marble work. Today, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated for its unique tilt and historical significance, drawing millions of visitors eager to experience its distinctive charm.
