League of the Three Emperors

The League of the Three Emperors was an alliance formed in 1873 among the German Empire, Russia, and Austria-Hungary. Its goal was to maintain stability and peace by coordinating policies and managing conflicts in Eastern and Central Europe. The alliance aimed to prevent conflicts between Austria-Hungary and Russia, especially over territories like the Balkans, and to counterbalance other powers. Although it was mainly diplomatic, the league reflected their shared interests and desire to avoid war. It lasted until growing differences and external pressures led to its decline, eventually collapsing around 1887.
