Le Due Torri

Le Due Torri, meaning "The Two Towers" in Italian, is a historic tower complex in Bologna, Italy, consisting of two medieval towers: Asinelli and Garisenda. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, they served as symbols of civic pride and were originally used for defense and observation. The Asinelli Tower, the taller at nearly 110 meters, allows visitors to climb its staircase for panoramic views of the city. These towers exemplify medieval architecture and urban history, representing Bologna’s prosperous past and the communal spirit of the Middle Ages.
