Law of three stages

The Law of Three Stages, proposed by Auguste Comte, suggests that societies and their thinking evolve through three distinct phases. First is the "theological stage," where explanations rely on divine or supernatural forces. Next is the "metaphysical stage," where abstract ideas and philosophical reasoning take precedence.
