Lave and Wenger
Lave and Wenger developed the concept of situated learning and the idea of communities of practice. They propose that learning occurs through active participation in real-world communities where members share knowledge, skills, and experiences. Instead of learning just from formal instruction, people learn by engaging with others who have similar interests or professions, gradually becoming more skilled and capable. This social process emphasizes that understanding is developed through participation, collaboration, and shared practice within these communities, making learning a social and contextual activity rather than just individual study.
