Latin honors
Latin honors are a system used primarily in higher education to recognize students' academic excellence upon graduation. The three main categories are cum laude ("with honor"), magna cum laude ("with great honor"), and summa cum laude ("with highest honor"). These distinctions are typically awarded based on a student's grade point average (GPA) or other academic achievements. Each institution may have its criteria for assigning these honors, but generally, they signal a student’s dedication, hard work, and superior performance in their studies, enhancing their academic credentials and resumes.
