Latin Crusader states

The Latin Crusader states were territories in the Eastern Mediterranean established by European Crusaders during the 11th to 13th centuries, following military campaigns aimed at reclaiming Christian holy sites from Muslim control. These states, including the Kingdom of Jerusalem and others like Edessa and Antioch, were Christian outposts amidst a largely Muslim region. They served as strategic bases, trading hubs, and symbols of Western influence, but faced ongoing conflicts and political instability. Over time, Muslim forces reconquered these territories, ending the Latin Crusader presence in the region.
