Later Yan
Later Yan was a short-lived dynasty in northern China during the 4th century, around 384 to 394 AD. It was part of the Sixteen Kingdoms period, a time of fragmentation after the fall of the Western Jin Dynasty. Founded by Murong Chui, a nomadic warrior, Later Yan aimed to unify northern China under their rule. Despite initial successes, internal conflicts and power struggles led to its decline. The dynasty played a significant role in shaping the political landscape of northern China during this tumultuous period, blending nomadic and Chinese cultures before ultimately being replaced by other states.
