Later Liang

Later Liang was a short-lived Chinese dynasty that existed from 907 to 923 during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, which followed the fall of the Tang Dynasty. Founded by the general Zhu Wen, it marked the first of the Five Dynasties. Later Liang is notable for its attempt to restore central authority in a fragmented China, but it faced challenges from rival states and internal strife. The dynasty ended when Zhu Wen’s forces were defeated by the Later Tang dynasty, leading to further political instability but also paving the way for future reunification efforts in China.
