LATCH System
The LATCH system is a standardized method to install car seats using either built-in anchors or vehicle seat belts, making the process safer and easier. LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children. It involves attaching small metal anchors built into the vehicle’s seat to corresponding connectors on the car seat, securing it without using the seat belt. Some seats also have top tethers to prevent forward movement during a crash. This system simplifies proper installation and reduces misuse, helping ensure the child's safety.
