laryngeal cysts

Laryngeal cysts are fluid-filled sacs that develop within the larynx (voice box). They can occur when gland openings in the laryngeal tissues become blocked or develop abnormally. These cysts may cause symptoms like hoarseness, a feeling of something in the throat, or breathing difficulties if they grow large. They are usually diagnosed through imaging or laryngoscopic examination and can often be treated effectively with surgery to remove them. While generally benign, early diagnosis and management help prevent potential complications and restore normal voice and breathing functions.
