Large Truck Crash Causation Study (LTCCS)
The Large Truck Crash Causation Study (LTCCS) is a research project aimed at understanding the causes of crashes involving large trucks. Conducted by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, it collects data from real-life accidents to identify factors contributing to these incidents, such as driver behavior, vehicle conditions, and road environments. The insights gained help improve safety regulations, driver training, and vehicle design, ultimately aiming to reduce the number and severity of truck-related accidents on the roads.
