Lapsarianism

Lapsarianism is a theological concept about the order in which God's plans for salvation and humanity's fall into sin occurred. It explores the sequence of events: whether God's decision to predestine individuals for salvation or damnation happened before or after the fall of Adam and Eve. In other words, it questions if God's decree to save or condemn was made before (supralapsarianism), after (infra-lapsarianism), or alongside (the infralapsarian view) the fall. This debate helps theologians understand God's sovereignty, justice, and the nature of human free will.
