Laparoscopic Surgery Techniques
Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure where a surgeon uses a thin tube with a camera, called a laparoscope, inserted through small incisions in the abdomen. The camera sends images to a monitor, guiding the surgeon to perform the operation with specialized surgical tools also inserted through small ports. This approach reduces pain, scarring, and recovery time compared to traditional open surgery. It's commonly used for procedures like gallbladder removal, hernia repair, and appendectomies, allowing precise operation with less trauma to the body.
