Language of thought
The Theory of Language of Thought suggests that our thinking occurs in a mental "language" made up of symbols and rules, similar to how spoken or written languages work. It proposes that our minds internally encode information in a structured way, allowing us to reason, solve problems, and understand. This internal language helps explain how we process complex ideas efficiently, as if our thoughts are being translated into a symbolic system that the brain can manipulate, much like a computer program. It bridges the gap between our mental experiences and the logical processes behind conscious reasoning.
