Landform Processes

Landform processes are natural forces that shape the Earth's surface over time. They include processes like erosion, which wears away landscapes through wind, water, or ice; and deposition, where materials like sand and soil settle in new areas. Volcanic activity can create new landforms such as mountains and plateaus, while tectonic movements cause uplift and faulting, forming features like mountains and valleys. Weathering breaks down rocks into smaller particles. These ongoing processes continuously transform the landscape, creating diverse features like mountains, valleys, plains, and coastlines.
