Landform Evolution

Landform evolution is the process by which Earth's surface features, like mountains, valleys, and plains, change over time. This occurs through natural forces such as weathering (breakdown of rocks), erosion (removal of rock material), tectonic activity (movement of Earth's plates), and sediment deposition. These processes gradually reshape the landscape, creating new landforms or modifying existing ones. Over millions of years, landforms develop in response to climate, gravity, and Earth's internal dynamics, resulting in the diverse terrain we see today.
