Lancastrians
The Lancastrians were supporters of the House of Lancaster during the Wars of the Roses, a series of civil wars in England from the 15th century. This house claimed the English throne through King Henry IV and was represented by a red rose symbol. The Lancastrians often fought against the rival House of York, symbolized by a white rose. Key figures include Henry VI and Margaret of Anjou. The conflict was marked by power struggles, battles, and shifting alliances, ultimately leading to the rise of the Tudors, who ended the wars in 1485 after defeating Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field.
