Lampedusa Agreement

The Lampedusa Agreement is a deal between Italy, Malta, and Libya aimed at managing migration and saving lives at sea. It encourages cooperation to prevent dangerous crossings from Libya to Europe, by sharing responsibility for rescue efforts and addressing root causes of migration. The agreement also promotes processing asylum claims locally and tackling illegal smuggling networks.
