Laminated glass
Laminated glass consists of two or more glass layers bonded together with a durable plastic interlayer, usually polyvinyl butyral (PVB). This construction enhances safety by holding the glass together if shattered, preventing dangerous shards from falling and reducing injury risk. Laminated glass is commonly used in car windshields, skylights, and architectural windows where safety and security are priorities. It also offers increased UV protection, sound insulation, and resistance to impact. The plastic interlayer can be tinted or customized, providing both functional benefits and aesthetic options.
