Lambic Style

Lambic is a traditional Belgian style of beer known for its spontaneous fermentation process. Unlike most beers that use cultivated yeast, lambic is exposed to the environment, allowing natural wild yeasts and bacteria from the air to ferment the beer. This results in complex, layered flavors with tart, sour, fruity, and earthy notes. Typically brewed with aged hops and often blended or aged further to create variations like gueuze. Lambic's unique fermentation method and time-consuming aging give it a distinct character, making it a highly regarded and artisanal style among beer enthusiasts.
