Lal Kot

Lal Kot is an ancient fortification located in Delhi, India, built around the 11th century by the Tomar ruler Anangpal. It served as the original city defense and is notable for its reddish sandstone walls, which give it the name "Lal" (red). Over time, Lal Kot expanded to form part of Delhi’s historic core, reflecting the early military architecture and urban planning of medieval North India.
