Labor condition applications
Labor Condition Applications (LCAs) are documents that employers in the U.S. must file as part of the process to hire foreign workers under certain visa categories, like H-1B. The LCA ensures that the employer will pay the worker fairly—at least the prevailing wage for the job—and that hiring the foreign worker won’t negatively impact the job opportunities of U.S. workers. By submitting an LCA, the employer commits to adhering to labor laws and conditions, ensuring both fair wages and working conditions for foreign employees. It's a part of safeguarding worker rights in the labor market.
