La Mazorca

La Mazorca was a secret police organization in 19th-century Mexico, associated with the Conservative Party during the dictatorship of Antonio López de Santa Anna. Its role was to suppress political opponents and maintain the ruling party’s control through intimidation, surveillance, and violence. Operating between the 1820s and 1850s, La Mazorca acted as an instrument of repression, often targeting liberals and opposition figures to eliminate dissent and secure conservative authority.
