La Grange Points

Lagrange Points are specific positions in space where the combined gravitational forces of two large bodies, like the Earth and the Moon, create regions of equilibrium. At these points, an object can stay relatively stationary relative to both bodies, requiring minimal energy to maintain position. There are five such points, labeled L1 through L5, each with unique stability characteristics. These points are useful for placing satellites or space telescopes, as they provide stable or semi-stable locations that conserve fuel and facilitate observational or communication tasks.
