La Ejercito Zapatista de Liberación Nacional

La Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional (EZLN) is a militant political and social movement in Mexico, formed in 1994 to advocate for the rights of indigenous communities and challenge government policies they see as unjust. Inspired by indigenous traditions and socialist ideas, the EZLN emphasizes autonomy, community self-governance, and social justice. They gained international attention through their armed uprising on January 1, 1994, but later shifted focus to building local organizations, promoting education, health, and land rights, and resisting neoliberal economic reforms that threaten indigenous lands and cultures.
