La Confederación Argentina
La Confederación Argentina was a loose political organization that governed Argentina from 1831 to 1862, before the country was fully unified as a nation-state. It mainly encompassed the provinces that supported federalism, resisting centralization by Buenos Aires. The Confederation faced internal conflicts and external pressures, notably from the rival State of Buenos Aires. Its leadership included figures like Justo José de Urquiza. The period ended when Argentina unified under a centralized government following the 1862 presidential revolution, transitioning from the confederation to a more cohesive national state.
