"La Bilirrubina"

"La Bilirrubina" refers to a yellow pigment formed when the body breaks down hemoglobin from red blood cells. Normally, the liver processes this pigment and helps eliminate it through bile. If the liver isn't functioning properly, or if there’s increased red blood cell breakdown, bilirubin can build up in the blood, causing yellowing of the skin and eyes, a condition known as jaundice. Elevated bilirubin levels can indicate liver issues, blockages in bile ducts, or other medical conditions. Monitoring bilirubin helps diagnose and manage various liver or blood-related health problems.
