L3 Cache
L3 cache is a large, fast memory located close to a computer's processor, designed to store frequently accessed data and instructions. Its primary purpose is to speed up processing by reducing the time the CPU spends waiting for data from the main memory (RAM). Unlike the smaller, faster L1 and L2 caches, L3 is bigger but slightly slower, serving as a shared pool for multiple processor cores. This shared nature helps improve overall system performance, especially in multi-core processors, by ensuring quick access to data needed for various tasks.
