L1 Visa (United States)
The L1 Visa is a U.S. immigration status that allows multinational companies to transfer employees from their foreign offices to the U.S. for work. There are two types: L1-A for executives and managers, and L1-B for employees with specialized knowledge. It enables these employees to live and work in the U.S. temporarily, often as a step towards permanent residence. The visa requires the employee to have worked for the company abroad for at least a year within the past three years and helps companies expand or manage their U.S. operations.
