Kyntheum

Kyntheum (brodalumab) is a prescription medication used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, a skin condition characterized by red, scaly patches. It works by blocking a specific part of the immune system called the IL-17 receptor, which plays a role in causing inflammation and rapid skin cell growth in psoriasis. By inhibiting this pathway, Kyntheum can reduce symptoms, improve skin appearance, and help patients manage their condition. It is administered via injection once every two weeks and is typically used when other treatments haven't been effective.
