Kylix
Kylix was an integrated development environment (IDE) created by Borland in the early 2000s for developing applications using the Delphi programming language. It allowed developers to write, test, and compile software primarily for Linux systems, providing tools similar to those used for Windows applications. Kylix supported graphical user interfaces and database connectivity, making it easier to build complex, cross-platform applications. Although it is now discontinued, Kylix was significant for bringing Delphi's powerful development framework to the Linux environment, enabling developers to create efficient, native Linux applications with a visual programming approach.
