Kutuzov

Kutuzov was a prominent Russian military leader during the Napoleonic Wars, best known for commanding Russian forces during the 1812 invasion by Napoleon. He adopted a strategic approach called "scorched earth," retreating and destroying resources to weaken the enemy. Instead of seeking direct confrontation, Kutuzov prioritized delaying Napoleon’s advance, causing his army to weaken over time. His leadership was characterized by patience, flexibility, and a focus on preserving his forces for eventual victory. His tactics contributed significantly to Napoleon’s eventual defeat in Russia.
