Kushite Dynasty

The Kushite Dynasty refers to a series of rulers from the ancient Kingdom of Kush, located to the south of ancient Egypt, primarily in what is now Sudan. From around 800 to 300 BCE, the Kushites became powerful and even conquered Egypt, establishing the 25th Dynasty. They are known for their impressive pyramids, rich culture, and contributions to art and architecture. The Kushites blended their traditions with those of Egypt, creating a unique civilization that influenced the region. The dynasty ultimately declined due to competition with rising powers, but it left a lasting legacy in African history.
