Kurram Agency
Kurram Agency is a tribal region in northwestern Pakistan, part of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). It borders Afghanistan and is characterized by rugged mountainous terrain and diverse communities, mainly Pashtuns. Historically, it served as a strategic area due to its location along trade routes. The region has experienced security challenges and conflict, partly due to its proximity to Afghanistan and militant activity. In 2018, FATA was merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, aiming to improve governance and development. Kurram Agency remains an important area for regional stability, security, and cross-border movement.
