Kuku Yalanji
Kuku Yalanji is an Indigenous Australian people from the rainforest and coastal regions of far north Queensland. Their culture includes unique languages, traditions, and deep connections to the land, particularly the Daintree Rainforest and surrounding areas. They have a rich storytelling tradition, use natural resources sustainably for food and tools, and maintain Dreamtime stories that explain their origin and relationship with nature. Today, the Kuku Yalanji work to preserve their cultural heritage while engaging in land management, tourism, and cultural education initiatives.
