Kuipers crater
Kuipers Crater is a large impact crater on Mars, about 170 kilometers (106 miles) in diameter. It was formed when a space object, like a meteorite, collided with the planet's surface, creating a noticeable depression. Its structure includes a central peak and surrounding rings, typical of large craters. The crater provides valuable insights into Mars’ geological history and impact processes. Since it is relatively well-preserved, scientists study Kuipers Crater to understand how planetary surfaces evolve after impacts and to explore the planet's past conditions.
