Kudirat Abiola
Kudirat Abiola was a Nigerian activist and wife of Chief Moshood Abiola, who was widely believed to have won Nigeria’s 1993 presidential election. She became a prominent critic of military rule and authoritarian government in Nigeria. Kudirat courageously spoke out against injustice and supported democratic reforms. Tragically, she was assassinated in 1996, a killing believed to be connected to her activism and her husband's contested election victory. Her legacy endures as a symbol of resistance and the fight for democracy in Nigeria.
