Krishnadevaraya was a prominent king of the Vijayanagara Empire in South India, ruling from 1509 to 1529. Known for his wise governance, military success, and patronage of arts and culture, he is considered one of the greatest rulers of the empire. His reign saw the expansion of territory, economic prosperity, and the flourishing of literature, architecture, and poetry. Krishnadevaraya was also known for his patronage of Telugu literature, and his court was a hub for scholars and artists. His leadership helped stabilize and enrich the Vijayanagara empire during its height.
