KrF Laser
A KrF (Krypton Fluoride) laser is a type of excimer laser that produces a powerful, short pulse of ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 248 nanometers. It uses a combination of krypton gas and fluorine gas inside a specialized chamber; when electrically energized, it creates excited molecules that release this ultraviolet laser beam as they return to a lower energy state. KrF lasers are valued for their precision and high-energy output, making them useful in applications like semiconductor manufacturing, laser eye surgery, and scientific research requiring fine, controlled laser beams.
