Korean Ancient History

Korean ancient history spans from early prehistoric times through the Three Kingdoms Period (Goguryeo, Baekje, Silla), lasting until around 7th-10th centuries CE. Early Koreans established settled communities, developed bronze and iron tools, and created distinctive art and culture. The Three Kingdoms era saw rival kingdoms compete for dominance, with significant advances in governance, Buddhism, and metallurgy. Silla eventually unified much of Korea, fostering cultural and political stability. Subsequent fluctuations led to the Goryeo Dynasty (918–1392), which unified the peninsula and contributed to Korean identity through advances in ceramics, literature, and Buddhism.
