Kootenai is a Native American language spoken by the Kootenai people primarily in parts of Idaho, Montana, and British Columbia. It belongs to the Salishan language family, known for complex consonant sounds and unique grammatical structures. Kootenai is considered critically endangered, with only a few fluent speakers remaining.
