Kongo (religion)
Kongo religion, traditional to the Kongo people of Central Africa, is a spiritual system centered on ancestor worship, nature spirits, and a supreme creator called Nzambi or Minkisi. It emphasizes maintaining harmony between humans, ancestors, and nature through rituals, offerings, and ceremonies. The religion often involves powerful spiritual objects called nganga or minkisi, believed to possess healing and protective properties. While it integrates with Christianity in modern practice, it retains core beliefs in spiritual interconnection, moral conduct, and the importance of community and ancestral reverence.
