Kohonen Networks
Kohonen Networks, also known as Self-Organizing Maps (SOMs), are a type of neural network used for visualizing and clustering complex data. They work by organizing data points onto a grid, where similar items are placed closer together, revealing patterns or groupings. During training, the network adjusts its internal representation so that it reflects the structure of the data, making it easier to interpret relationships and trends. Kohonen Networks are useful in data analysis, image recognition, and pattern detection, providing a meaningful map of high-dimensional information onto a two-dimensional display.
