A koala is a native Australian marsupial known for its distinctive, fluffy ears, large nose, and stout body. It primarily feeds on eucalyptus leaves, which make up most of its diet, providing both food and water. Koalas are excellent climbers, spending most of their lives in trees, where they rest for up to 18 hours a day. Despite their cute appearance, they are solitary animals with a specialized diet, and their populations are impacted by habitat loss and disease. Koalas play an important role in their ecosystem, helping to maintain healthy eucalyptus forests.
